List Rant From Ron

Here’s Ron’s latest with comments by me in italics.

Y’know . . . I don’t mind admitting when I’ve screwed up or made a bad decision or said something before I had all the facts. Some people can’t bring themselves to admit they’re wr- . . . wro- . . . w- . . . wuh- . . . wr- . . . . . can’t even say the word if it applies to them unless it’s to say NOT wrong.

So I respect guys who can say, “O.K., fellahs, I blew it. But I won’t make that mistake again. Now, help me fix it.” That doesn’t apply of course, to an egotistical twerp who won’t admit that he was wrong but blames it on bad advice or incomplete research or somebody else’s error, usually an assistant or opponent or predecessor.

Or bad luck which gives me an excuse to use this Heinlein quote.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.” … Robert A. Heinlein

Take a look at the completely unqualified amateur STILL flying around in AF1 and daring the legislature to pass bills with which he disagrees, no matter if they’re what the people want or not.

As a senator (when he said he would NOT run for president, or at least until Oprah asked him to) he opposed raising the debt ceiling, saying to do so would be “unpatriotic.” And look at how much HE’s increased the debt.

And his $4 trillion proposed budget will increase it even more. And now he’s crowing about reducing the deficit even though it will still be higher than the deficit when he took office. “Math is hard”, sayith Obambi.

Then, when he changed his mind and decided that he WOULD run for PotUS, he said he’d repeal the Bush tax cuts. Of course in 2010 he extended them.

He also said that he’d raise taxes on capital gains and dividends for the rich, but he didn’t for several years. And he repeatedly declared that “no family making less than $250,000 a year would see any form of tax increase in income tax, payroll tax, or any other tax. We don’t have to look any farther than Obamacare to see that reversal, and there have been others, of course, including luxury items such as cigarettes.

And it has been proven that when you reduce capital gains taxes revenues go up and when he was asked in an interview about that he said he wanted to raise capital gains taxes “for fairness”. In other words, it would not be to raise revenue but to punish the rich. Spoken like a true rat bastard commie.

Another pledge while running for PotUS in 2008 was to eliminate taxes on all income of senior citizens making less than $50,000/annum. Nope. Never happened.

And let’s not forget those promises to eliminate earmarks and lobbyists and have the most transparent administration in history. It is to laugh.

He’s right up there with BJ who promised to have the most ethical administration in history and we all saw how that worked out.

He promised to “reinvigorate NASA” with an infusion of cash, but he basically wiped out our space program. We have to hitch rides into orbit with our enemies now.

And he changed NASA’s primary mission to Mooslime outreach. Yeah. Let’s try to make these 7th Century barbarian savages feel good about themselves.

His handling of Iraq was so flawed and contained so many flip-flops and bad decisions that I won’t even get into it. He criticized everything his predecessor had done and then took credit for ending the war in the worst possible way.

Can you say ISIS? And this dickhead has the gall to say that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam.

In Prague in 2009 on his world-wide victory-lap apology tour, he promised to continue with the Bush plans for missile defense systems in Poland and the Czech Republic. Then just six months later, Mr. Surrender bowed to Russian blustering and discontinued the plans.

And got absolutely nothing in return. This is known as “smart diplomacy”.

Israel – good grief! What a schizophrenic display he’s put on there. After repeatedly promising that the US will back up our finest ally in the Middle East, he basically chastised Israel for bullying the poor Paleosimians. His policy for that region is decidedly pro-Muslim if not downright anti-Israel.

Darfur – same-o, same-o. As senator, he wanted strong sanctions against the “brutal regime” of al-Bashir, but as President, he befriended the Sudanese “government” although its Arab militias had slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people.

Egypt – First, Mubarak a strong ally and force for stability. Then, under the bus.

Fortunately, the Egyptian Army took over from the Mooslime Brotherhood otherwise we would have another Libya. And speaking of Libya, can you say Benghazi? There was absolutely no reason to overthrow Qadaffy. We had pulled his fangs. As soon as he saw Saddam pulled from his hidey hole, he renounced WMD’s. But France wanted him out so we “led from behind” and helped them and now Libya is a mess. I asked Prosper how Libya differed from Iraq and his reply was that the Libyan people wanted him out. I replied that the Iraqi people wanted Saddam out so why was France against Iraq and for Libya. At that, he went all French on me and ran off and hid and I haven’t heard from him since.

Cuban Embargo – against it, until speaking to the south Florida Cuban community, then for it. Now re-establishing diplomatic ties?

Armenia – called what was going on there genocide, then promptly ignored it.

Iran – This would take pages, but it’s been as big a disaster as Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, and every other place he’s touched, including Ferguson, Missouri. One day he calls Iran a “grave threat” and the next day “no serious threat to us,” the same way he referred to ISIS as the junior varsity.

Senator Obama was harshly critical of NAFTA, but once in the Oval Office reversed himself by saying that he had been misinformed and spoke with excessive heat and rhetoric.

Venezuela – what a fiasco that Chavez thing was. Good grief! As bad as the “reset” policy with Putin.

Improving America’s image in the world. Yeah, how’s that workin out for ya, Barry?

Our allies don’t trust us and our enemies are laughing at us. More “smart diplomacy”.

Gas prices – Wow! He blamed Bush for high gas prices, but when he got the job he said that PotUS has NO control over gas prices. And then he stated that higher gas prices would be good for the country by stimulating research and development of alternate energy sources. Then he backed off for that when prices got over $4 a gallon, afraid that it might cost a liberal somewhere a vote or two.

And now that gas prices have fallen, not because of, but in spite of his polices he’s taking credit for it. He’s against fracking but it’s fracking that has caused the drop in oil prices. It has dramatically increased natural gas supplies as well. New York, run by liberals, which sits on an ocean of natural gas is against fracking and is not gonna take advantage of this opportunity. Pennsylvania, run by smarter people and sitting on the same ocean is gonna take advantage of fracking and reap the economic benefits. Liberalism is a mental disease.

Cap and Trade – A circle-jerk from day one. Just like Solyndra and Yemen and Detroit and all the other “success stories” he peddled like so much snake oil.

Keystone Pipeline – few remember that SENATOR Obama was in favor of it, but President Obama said he’ll veto it even though ALL the studies say its environmental impact would be near zero.

And will create jobs, union jobs, so go ahead construction unions, keep supporting Dimocrats. Dimocrats are abandoning the working class for rich environmentalists. The irony here is, this oil will be transported on railroads owned by Obungler’s buddy Warren Buffett and will be worse on the environment than the Keystone pipeline. And these idiots claim it’s conservatives who are anti-science? Just like it’s liberals who think that the measles vaccine causes autism because a rocket scientist like Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy sez so. The study that claims that has since been debunked and the author of it has had to admit it. Science is hard.

Nuclear power – against it before he was for it, or whatever he is now. I’ve lost track.

Immigration reform – what the hell IS his policy on immigration? Papers? We don’t need no steenkeen papers!

Health Care Mandate – he was originally opposed to the individual mandate until it became his legislation legacy. He denies ever having promoted single-payer system although that was his position as Illinois state senator.

And that is his, and the Dimocrat Party’s endgame. Obummercare was designed to completely screw up healthcare in this country so the people would demand that the gummint “do sumpin’” and we all know what that “sumpin” is, single payer gummint run healthcare. That has been the Holy Grail of the Dimocrat Party as far back as I can remember. Count on the Stupid Party to mess up again, which they will, and give the Dimocrats the same super majorities they had when they passed Obummercare, and they will ram it down our throats just like they rammed Obummercare down our throats.

His outright lies, exaggerations, exclusions, and exceptions to his own ACA are monumental. Incidentally, part of the whole selling feature of it was to make sure every American is insured. What do we have, like 30 million still uninsured? I won’t even mention that bit about having “negotiations televised on C-SPAN.”

He also said that he would not sign the bill “if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period.” Yeah, right. Like everybody can keep their own doctor, right?

Gitmo – Well, he promised to close it, and he’s using every underhanded trick he can think of to empty it and make that easier, but in doing so he’s endangering American troops and national security and making us look like idiots, and it’s doubtful he’ll ever get the place closed on his watch. L’etat c’est moi.

His handling of terror suspects has been a study in indecision, from promising to end military commissions to try them to just letting them go because he unilaterally ended the war they were related to but which he says today isn’t a war anyway.

While running for president, he insisted that killing bin Laden was important, but then once in office he said it wasn’t “essential” because the Taliban and al Qaeda were being dismantled. Of course he spiked the football and put SEAL Team 6 in grave jeopardy once bin Laden was caught and killed.

I have no idea where he stands on abortion because every time he gets any flack on it, he updates his website to get rid of “standard boilerplate” language that “someone else wrote and put there.”

Wasserman-Schultz is a good example of his colossal hypocrisy – after advocating civility and civil debate, he appointed her Chair of the DNC despite her guttermouth treatment of anyone slightly right of center, and then PRAISED her for the job.

Gay Marriage – Man, this is “evolution” in progress if I’ve ever seen it.

Gun control – You just KNOW he’d like to see everybody in the country disarmed, except his bodyguards, of course, but he agreed with the SCotUS ruling that most private ownership bans are unconstitutional in one way or another. WTF?

School Vouchers – Oh, Jeez.

Marijuana legalization – More Jeez.

Union money – Before he needed it, he called it “special interest” funds, but when it was for him, it was representative of the “working people” and okey – dokey.

Jeremiah Wright – At first he said he could no more disown the demented anti-American loudmouth than he could his own white grandmother. Then he did exactly that when he experienced heat from his advisors on the matter. Why he got himself involved with Sharpton is beyond me. Blinders, I guess.

Because he and Sharpton are pretty much the same. They are both racists who hate white people. They are also anti-Semites. Obumbler is just a more articulate version of Sharpton.

The biggest flip-flops involve his birth certificate and his relationship to Islam. Obviously that statement “I will stand with Islam when the winds shift in an ugly direction” sums it up nicely. Why else would he be completely unable to even say the phrase “Islamic terrorist”?

And of course he was supposed to be the great uniter and improve race relations, but blacks are much worse off today than they were under Bush, and Martin Luther King would crucify him if he saw how he handles race-related issues such as Martin, Brown, and Garner, not to mention the beer summit and Holder and Sharpton and Van Jones.

He’s set race relations back 50 years. They are the worst I’ve seen since the 60′s. This is what a Sharpton presidency would look like, but then he’s just Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddie’s Fashion Mart Arson Sharpton in a better suit and better diction. He can also read a TelePrompTer better than Sharpton can. Watching Sharpton on his MSDNC show reading off the TelePrompTer is a hoot. There are videos on YouTube of him trying to read.

Problem with a list like this is it’s hard to stop once you get started. The flip-flops go on, of course, and I haven’t even tried to list ‘em all. So I’ll just stop listing here.

The guy, if he actually is a guy, is the quintessential equivocator, a fence-straddler, a knee-jerker, a consummate role-player, a prevaricator, a perjurer, phony, sham, flim-flammer, backstabber, deceiver, and more of a MISleader than a leader.

You’d think that after 6 years at the job he’d have learned a few things, especially since he’s supposed to be so well-educated and intellectually gifted. Truth is, though, that he’s still a greenhorn without a single viable credential for being in charge of anything more important than a nail salon.

Yep! This is what you get when you value Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) over merit. This is a fine example of affirmative action meets the Peter Principle. His only qualifications for the job were his skin color and his ability to read words, written by others, off a TelePrompTer. A white person with his qualifications would have a problem getting elected to dog catcher.

And he’s fortunate to have the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party covering for him. If they covered him like they covered Bush his approval ratings would be in the 20′s.

The real tragedy is that millions of people believe he’s actually trying to do a good job for the country and its citizens but that the obstructionist conservatives won’t give him a chance to do it. And what scares me is the GOP’s ability to lose genelecs when they’re basically in the bag. Wonder what the vote would be if voters had the option to select “None of the above.”
