Sunday’s AJC had a huge article about the race in the 6th Congressional District. The 6th District is turning purple! They have pictures to prove it. Looking at the pictures it appears Karen Handel doesn’t have a chance to win. It’s blue all over. The article starts thus:
Democrat Jon Ossoff’s trail of blue through Georgia’s 6th District flowed from the working-class Tucker suburb to the antique shops of Chamblee through the southern stretch of fast-urbanizing Dunwoody and blossomed across much of Sandy Springs.
As I suspected all of those new apartments over near Perimeter Mall must be full of dumb millenials.
It darted north from there hugging the spine og GA 400 – and the MARTA line – curving to the doorsteps of downtown Roswell and into the office parks of Alpharetta before jutting east toward the country club subdivisions of Johns Creek.
So there you go. Ossoff has it in the bag. Of course, this is the same AJC that said Georgia was turning purple and Crooked Cankles had a good chance to win Georgia.
This is the same AJC that said a few years ago that Georgia was turning purple and Michelle Nunn Martin and Jason Carter had a real good chance of winning their Senate and governor races respectively. Instead, both of them got clobbered.
Don’t get me wrong, Ossoff does have a real good chance of winning since he got 48% of the vote in the primary. If the Republicans want to keep this seat, they will have to unite behind Karen Handel. They will also have to depict Ossoff for who he is: a phony opportunist. For example, in one of his campaign ads he sez he wants to eliminate wasteful spending by eliminating duplicate programs. This guy is a Dimocrat. They never want to eliminate any gummint programs duplicate or not. He’s running like the Dimocrats did in 2007 when they ran as fiscal conservatives. Dimocrats? Fiscal conservatives? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That will be the day.
The AJC really has its hopes up that Georgia will elect a white Dimocrat so they are having Ossoff run as a moderate Dimocrat sumpin’ that went extinct a few years ago. Unfortunately, he has fooled many of the people in the 6th District into believing that he is one.
Here’s hoping the the AJC will have its hopes dashed as it has over the last four years.
