Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade claims he didn’t set a red line. Huh? WTF?
“I didn’t set a red line. The world set a red line,” he insisted. “The world set a red line when governments representing 98 percent of the world’s population said the use of chemical weapons are abhorrent and passed a treaty forbidding their use even when countries are engaged in war.”
Yeah. The world set a red line. That’s the ticket. I can see Jon Lovitz playing Tommy Flanagan saying this.
Set the wayback machine Sherman to August 20th, 2012. In Obungler’s own words.
“We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized,” the president said. “That would change my calculus. That would change my equation.”
No one said there would be any math.
Now, he’s trying to pass the buck to Congress, which he should do, just like he should have done with Libya. But, he’s already said that even if Congress sez he shouldn’t take any action in Syria, he just may do so anyway. He’s trying to cover his ass. He’s just hoping that Congress will give him authorization so he’ll have someone to blame if this policy goes south and blows up in his face.
Al Qaeda is part of the rebel coalition fighting Assad. Do we really want to give al Qaeda help? The only “ally” we have in this is France, and we know how feckless they are. France, the country that is always there when they need us. And all they will do is cheer us on from the sidelines. Will they contribute anything militarily? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
In Obummerland everything good is because of him. Everything bad is someone else’s fault. He’ll prolly blame Bush for the chemical weapons because he didn’t invade Iraq in time to confiscate the WMDs before Saddam sent them to Syria.
Syria is Arabs killing Arabs. Both sides hate us. Let them keep killing each other.
